Mr. Wright was recently honored by the Birmingham Business Journal as one of Birmingham's Top 40 Under 40, a group of top professionals under the age of 40 years old in the Birmingham, Alabama area. Mr. Wright was also recently honored as one of Alabama's twelve "Champions for Justice."  This award was given to Mr. Wright by the Alabama Association for Justice.  Josh was also recently honored as one of Alabama's Super Lawyers for 2009 and 2010, and was selected in 2010 as one of the Top Attorneys in Alabama by Business Alabama Magazine. 

Areas of Practice: Mr. Wright focuses on the following areas of law: Wrongful Death, Commercial Disputes, Dram Shop, Environmental, Personal Injury, Products Liability and Pharmaceutical Litigation.

Education/Activities: Mr. Wright is from the Atlanta, Georgia area and received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. While in law school, Mr. Wright was a member of the Order of Barristers, University of Alabama National Moot Court Team and John A. Campbell Moot Court Board. Mr. Wright was a recipient of the Corpus Juris Secundum Academic Excellence Award and the Edward M. Friend Outstanding Oral Advocacy Award while at the University of Alabama.  He also served as a Senior Editor of the Alabama Law & Psychology Review and received the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. Medal for Excellence in Advocacy at the National Moot Court Competition.

Mr. Wright received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. While at Auburn, Mr. Wright was selected as a member of the Spade Honor Society, served as the President of the Interfraternity Council, served as the SGA President for the College of Business and was selected as a member of the War Eagle Girls and Plainsmen.

"Got Beer?"  How Alcohol Providers Better Ask "Have You Had Too Much?"  Presented at Alabama Association for Justice 2010 Mid-Winter Seminar, Birmingham, Alabama, January 2010

Alabama Alcohol Beverage Control Board of Directors  (January 2009 Board Meeting). Mr. Wright was asked to lobby the Board for stricter rules and regulations - requiring bars, restaurants and convenience stores across the State of Alabama to obtain more insurance -- that would protect children and families injured due to the intoxication of patrons.

Professional Associations/Affiliations: Mr. Wright is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Alabama Association for Justice, formerly known as the Alabama Trial Lawyers' Association. He is a former member of the Board of Governors and a former TRIAL Chairman for the Alabama Association for Justice, and is currently serving on the Executive Committee, is on the Association's Board of Directors and was recently elected as the Association's Treasurer for 2010.  Mr. Wright was also elected in 2010 to the Board of Directors of the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, which manages and directs state IOLTA monies to various charitable organizations serving disadvantaged, disabled and at risk families and children.

Mr. Wright is admitted to practice in front of the Alabama Supreme Court and the United States Federal District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern districts in the State of Alabama.  Mr. Wright is also admitted to practice in front of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia.
