Bacteria Found in Vicks Sinex Nasal Spray

Lawyers from Hollis, Wright & Harrington are handling personal injury cases related to burkholderia cepacia (B.cepacia) bacteria which was found in Vicks Sinex Nasal Spray and recalled November 20, 2009. The Procter & Gamble Company announced November 20, 2009 it was voluntarily recalling three lots of its Vicks Sinex nasal spray in three countries: the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Burkholderia cepacia (B.cepacia) bacteria was found in this product. And, although B.cepacia bacteria is generally listed as not risky to healthy people, the lawyers of Hollis, Wright & Harrington have conducted significant research in the area of B.cepacia over the last three years. Such bacteria can in fact cause serious injury and permanent respiratory conditions in healthy individuals. Permanent injury and death can especially result in patients with preexisting Cystic Fibrosis.
