Blake was born and raised in Pace, Florida, just a 30 min drive from Pensacola Beach. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Pre-Law from Mississippi State University in 2022. Shortly after graduating, that same year, he began his legal education at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
During Blake’s first year of law school, he competed in the first-year Parham Williams Trial Competition and placed extremely well, finishing in the top 8 teams out of 30. This was Blake’s first experience in a courtroom and was the starting point in creating the passion he has for litigating and advocating for his clients. Blake took several advocacy-based classes at Cumberland to better understand and learn what it takes to be a successful trial lawyer. After his second year of law school, Blake made one of his best decisions in joining Cumberland’s National Trial Team. Joining as a third-year law student is not common; however, in the fall of 2024, Blake was thrown into the fire rather quickly. Blake immediately began advocating in two of the nation’s toughest, invite-only competitions: Drexel’s Battle of the Experts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the National Civil Trial Competition in Los Angeles, California. Blake and his team were finalists at Battle in Philly and won the Professionalism Award at NCTC in Los Angeles. The following semester Blake won the 2025 American Association of Justice Regional Championship in Chicago, Illinois and ended his trial team career as a quarterfinalist at American Association of Justice National Competition in Atlanta.
In addition to trial team, Blake was a multiple time Dean’s list recipient and actively involved in Cumberland’s intramural sports teams. Blake joined Hollis Wright straight from law school and has exclusively represented injured victims throughout his career.
When he is not practicing law, Blake enjoys hunting, fishing, playing golf and spending time with his family. One of Blake’s favorite things to do is to take his beautiful chocolate labrador retriever, Lyla, on the river.
